The makers of JTAG Live™ are pleased to announce a new release of the popular JTAGLive platform and the free Buzz module that is now ‘downloadable’ without registration. New JTAGLive V1.6 now includes an automatic chain detect feature that can interrogate multiple boundary-scan chain(s) to determine the number and type of components in each.

Another new feature is multi-language support. Now users from Japan, Germany, Russia, France, China, Holland and Portugal can all get up and running in their native language

The JTAGLive product family includes free Buzz (the interactive continuity tester powered by boundary-scan), plus the optional modules Script (for Python-powered cluster logic testing), AutoBuzz (for automated interconnect comparisons) and CoreCommander. For all modules only BSDL models of the JTAG/IEEE std 1149.1 compliant parts are needed to start using the tools.

Supported interfaces include Altera’s USB Blaster, Xilinx’s parallel and USB interfaces, JTAG Technologies’ JT 3705/USB controller, the JTAGLive USB controller and some FTDI modules.
