Two new instruments have been added by LeCroy Corporation to its WaveAce oscilloscope series – the WaveAce 1000 and WaveAce 2000.

The first of the two feature a sample rate of up to 1GS/s with 2Mpts of memory in two-channel models from 40MHz to 100MHz.

Whilst the second option delivers sample rates of up to 2GS/s and 24kpts of memory and are available in two- and four-channel models from 70MHz up to 300MHz.

The new oscilloscopes feature a large 7” widescreen display, and debug tools such as 32 automatic measurements, waveform math capabilities, pass/ fail mask testing, large internal storage, remote control and waveform recorder.

The large 7” widescreen display can show up to five measurements without crowding the waveform display, or show all 32 at once with the measurement dashboard.

A wide range of advanced timing parameters provides insight in to the relationship between signals on two different channels.

The FFT can be viewed using four different windows and two different vertical scales for a flexible view of the frequency domain. Built-in pass/fail mask testing allows for quick identification of problems and highlights when they have occurred.

The WaveAce has internal storage to save up to 20 waveforms, 20 setups and two reference waveforms.

Both of the new instruments are easily integrated with the LogicStudio 16 logic analyser or the WaveStation function/arbitrary waveform generators.

When connected to the same PC, the LogicStudio 16 and the WaveAce turn any PC into a mixed signal oscilloscope.
