The Electronics Industry Awards put the power in the hands of the people for the first time – and following the online vote, those that are still in the running to pick up an accolade have now been announced.

The winners – the products, companies and people that received the most votes in each category – will be revealed at the highly-anticipated Electronics Industry Awards ceremony, taking place at Birmingham’s National Conference Centre on Tuesday 25 September 2018. An electrifying event

With all sights now set on the Awards ceremony, organiser Datateam Business Media is delighted to announce that comedian Sean Collins will be the compere for the evening.

After beginning his comedy career at home in Vancouver, Sean has spent a decade in the UK where he has firmly established himself as a club and festival favourite – with his shows frequently gaining critical and audience praise, including ‘Best of the Fest’ accolades.

Sean’s relaxed, gravelly drawl and intimate delivery draws audiences into his personal anecdotes on fatherhood, love, life and being burgled – as showcased in his appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

CIE editor, Amy Wallington says: “We are delighted to have Sean Collins on board to present the Awards and I’m looking forward to seeing him bring the ceremony to life in a way that only he can.

“I would also like to congratulate all of our finalists for making it through to this stage, and wish them the best of luck at the ceremony!”

In addition to an evening of prime entertainment, guests at the ceremony will enjoy an exclusive champagne reception, a sumptuous three-course meal with wine and unrivalled networking opportunities.

With tickets in high demand, those that wish to attend are encouraged to book a table early to avoid disappointment.

The Electronics Industry Awards, organised by Datateam Business Media, has been launched in association with CIE Magazine and with the full support of Electronics Magazine, ECSN and What’s New In Electronics. The event also has the backing of sponsors Astute (headline), BWW Communications, Mouser, Intelliconnect and Napier.

Analog Devices is our charity sponsor for this year’s event. Jackie Rutter, director of marketing EMEA at Analog Devices says: “As the charity fundraiser sponsor of the Electronics Industry Awards 2018, Analog Devices is delighted that all monies raised during the award evening will be donated to Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH).

“Birmingham Children’s Hospital offers expert care to 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year. As a local resident and parent who has first-hand experience of the life-saving work undertaken by BCH, it’s great to support such a worthwhile local cause.”
