Up to 4-channel low-temperature sensing for I2C
compatible/SMBus applications

With local accuracy up to ± 1°C over a temperature range from -40°C to +65°C, and extended remote accuracy of ± 1°C to +105°C, the MCP990x digital temperature sensor ICs provide low-cost, flexible solutions for outdoor or industrial environments.

In addition to dual, triple or quad-channel temperature sensing, the compact MCP990X integrate advanced features such as resistance error correction to compensate for voltage drops and a sample-frequency hopping filter. These enable high-accuracy, remote diode temperature measurement up to 100 feet off-board away from the IC, in addition to minimising injected system noise to simplify board layout.

Development Tools:
A dedicated board supports evaluation using the dual-channel MCP9902 digital temperature sensor IC. The board demonstrates reporting temperature over the SMBus, including two alerts.
