In a complimentary mix of technology, Harting has developed a new hybrid module connector solution with combined power supply and signal contacts. The device is the latest model in the company’s range of highly-flexible open connector systems.
The Han 70 has a power contact with a current capacity of 70A at a rated voltage of 1000V and four additional signal contacts designed for up to 400V, based on standard Han(R) E crimp contacts rated at up to 16A. The power contact has axial screw terminals. Cables measuring from 6 to 22mm2 (8-4 AWG) can be connected without using an additional, often costly tool. A secure and durable connection can be made with a standard 2.5mm hexagon screwdriver. The series enables users to create their own customised connector to the desired configuration. Various modules are available for electrical, optical and gaseous signals.
