Display Solutions introduces Shuttle’s new DS81; a slim, yet powerful embedded barebone PC that supports the latest software and trends in high-performance digital signage. Pushing the limits in terms of interactivity and connectivity, the DS81 supports seamless playback of ultra-high definition video and graphics.

Shuttle’s DS81 is equipped with an Intel® H81 Express Chipset that supports Intel® Haswell fourth-generation Core™ i3/i5/i7 processor. The system supports dual-channel DDR3 1600 memory with a maximum capacity of 16GB, and the CPU integrated Intel® HD graphics 4600 is compatible with DirectX11.1 to deliver significantly increased processing and graphics performance.
To meet the diverse requirements of a variety of digital signage applications, the DS81 provides a wide range of connectivity interfaces, including USB2.0, USB3.0, RS232/422/485, SATA 6G and full size / half size Mini PCIe. The system has built-in display ports to accommodate 4K content and allows end users to play ultra-high quality video and multimedia content with Dual Screen Display options.
The rugged design of the DS81 allows for 24/7 stable operation over long periods of time; Shuttle uses high-performance industrial capacitors and has integrated its innovative heat pipe cooling module with a variable speed fan that enables effective cooling to ensure reliable operation in environments up to 50°C.
