Display technology now forms a major part of everyday life. From your iPad to your ‘e’ reader screen technology is taking the world by storm. This is why the integrity of this technology is now encapsulated in the format of Screenmedia expo 2012 taking place from the 16th-17th May, centrally located at London’s Earls Court.

On the 15th May prior to the trade show, a special afternoon briefing will be hosted by ‘The Screen’ in association with the exhibition. This includes a tour of Westfield Stratford City, hosted by key experts involved in the on-site running of the retail, media and technology.

Attendees will have the chance to view the major installations and learn how digital signage technology is providing a central theme to the design, implementation and ROI of the centre.

From here, ‘The Screen Group’ will board a London Bus for a tour of the Olympic Park giving visitors a fascinating insight into the future role of digital signage.

Following the next day, the trade show will present a dedicated digital screenmedia, marketing and technology forum that is claimed to be the only event of its type in Europe.

The education programme at Screenmedia expo is a huge attraction, with four, free-to-attend conference tracks on offer.

As well as the conference keynote provided by Intel, the programme features a further 25 cutting edge presentations.

Visitors will be able to hear from experts about today’s best practices for implementing and managing a connected network, creating content, engaging customers and measuring effectiveness.

The conference tracks are designed to help visitors engage with the event, to clarify the commercial and operational benefits that deploying this media will provide for their business.

In addition, there will be a range of free and paid-for expert-led seminars and workshops that not only ‘tell you how’ but ‘show you how’.

New for 2012 is a special co-located ‘how to’, hands-on NFC Bootcamp. Presented by OTA Training and Merchant 360, the NFC Bootcamp is the first globally standardised Near Field Communication educational series and is ideal for mobile developers, advertising agencies, brand marketers, and companies involved in payment processing.

As a special feature of this inaugural European NFC Bootcamp, the NFC Showcase will be located right on the expo show floor where attendees from both events can experience first-hand how NFC works from the world’s leading NFC companies.
