Colour graphics, extra software features and versatile printing cartridges simplify every labelling task from asset tracking and safety warning to cable ID

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, is introducing a new era of easy, fast and productive industrial labelling by launching the latest DYMO XTL series labellers with colour graphics and built-in label apps.

RS is the leading EMEA launch partner for the XTL 300 and XTL 500 labellers, which feature an intuitive home screen that simplifies launching the apps and also provides a convenient print-preview mode. Pre-loaded templates ensure correct formatting and accelerate label creation, and a keypad and navigation buttons below the screen help the user enter text quickly and accurately. The new labellers also support industry-standard barcodes and QR codes.

The XTL 300 and XTL 500 are ideal for general labelling, asset tracking and facilities management, as well as when installing electrical or datacom equipment like terminal blocks, contact breakers, distribution panels, patch panels or cabling. Enhanced speed and ease of use enable installers to label diligently without compromising productivity and help maximise long-term equipment maintainability and safety.

The XTL 300 has a 71mm colour LCD screen and prints labels up to 24mm wide with up to 11 lines of text at 300dpi resolution. The XTL 500 introduces the added convenience of a large 109mm colour touchscreen with label width up to 54mm and 24 lines of text. Both models come with 41MB of built-in memory, serialisation capability and a rechargeable LiPo battery.

The labels are made from tough materials that withstand hazards such as moisture, chemicals, harsh temperatures and UV light. They also meet UL 969 as included components, and satisfy the OSHA, ANSI and ISO colour standards for workplace communication. Non-smear, non-fade printing inks ensure a lifetime of resilient service. A wide range of labels is available in easy-to-use cartridges, including continuous tape, pre-sized labels, heat-shrink tubes and sm
all-format safety signage. The XTL labellers automatically identify the cartridge when loaded.

The XTL 300 and XTL 500 can also be used with the DYMO ID PC-based labelling application, which gives access to a wide range of popular symbols and images and provides extra productivity-boosting tools such as data import, direct sheet-label printing, and customisation of XTL user preferences.
