A new assembly service has been launched by Conrad Electronic in Germany with the aim of improving its PCB service. The company advises its integrated online service enables engineers to design, layout and order fabricated, populated, printed circuit boards (PCBs). The service also supports the design, manufacture and supply of laser cut stencils for surface mount boards.
The company’s Component and PCB Service meets industrial standards and is compatible with most popular layout programs including EAGLE, Altium, OrCad and TARGET 3001! Is is possible to order small quantities without extra charges and there are no film costs or limitations on the number drilled holes in a design.
The Component and PCB Service can be accessed directly online via the company’s website and has the facility to download a full version of the company’s TARGET 3001! PCB software free of charge. It is also possible to link to the company’s Component and PCB Service to order boards and components.
According to the company, its TARGET 3001! Software is configured so that all information and data for a project is contained within a single file. To create a smooth design flow, components can be amended in the schematic or layout individually, independent of the database. 3D visualisation of the assembled PCB including the capability to export the board to mechanical CAD systems is also possible.
For the laser cut SMD Stencil element of its Component and PCB Service, the company has partnered with German printed circuit board specialist Beta LAYOUT.
