The new FP-XH combines a compact and durable PLC with a motion controller. The CPU has 16 digital inputs/outputs and in addition is equipped with 4 high-speed inputs. The PLC can be expanded with Panasonic’s expansion units from the FP0R and FP-X series.

The FP-XH comes with electronic clutch, cam, and gear functions as well as functions for linear and circular interpolation.  The positioning parameters can be set in the PMX Configurator with the help of cam profiles. The PMX Configurator is integrated in the programming software Control FPWIN Pro 7.

The FP-XH uses a real-time bus for high-end applications, the tried-and-tested RTEX bus (Realtime Express).

Thanks to its high transmission speed and sampling rate, this fast, real-time Ethernet bus for automation is particularly well suited for highly dynamic single and multiple axes position control tasks. The communication between master and slaves happens in real time. Mounting and connecting the FP-XH is very easy, the loop wiring ensures a fail-safe performance. Standard Ethernet cables (Cat 5e, up to 100m distance between units) are perfectly suitable for cabling.

Thanks to this bus system, there is a distinct increase in performance and productivity in applications that so far have been solved with traditional digital and analog programmable controllers.

Together with the MINAS A6N / A5N series, the FP-XH works like a technological upgrade for applications with up to eight axes.

The MINAS A6 series stands out by its highly dynamic servo drives with the most modern technologies and large power range while maintaining a lightweight and compact design. Thanks to its innovative electronics, the MINAS A6N motion controller allows precise positioning. Special functions and a bandwidth of 3.2kHz help to reduce vibrations. The motion controller can also reach 350% of the rated torque at speeds of up to 6,500rpm and has a 23-bit encoder (incremental / absolute).
