Nexperia, global leader in discretes, logic and MOSFET devices, and global technology solutions provider Avnet, which supports customers from idea to design and from prototype to production, today announce celebrating a half century of successfully working together with strong results.

The initial engagement started in 1968 when Avnet added Signetics as one of its first franchises. Signetics was subsequently bought by Philips and became NXP in 2006. More recently, the standard products division of NXP has emerged as a separate company, Nexperia, becoming a dynamic force in discretes, logic and MOSFET devices. Nexperia is serving global markets, delivering components at high volume to automotive, mobile and other markets that demand the highest efficiency, quality and performance.

At a meeting to celebrate this unique milestone, Frans Scheper, Nexperia’s CEO commented: “Such a long partnership is an indication of the exceptional strength of our relationship. We look to Avnet to help us support customers in all markets around the world with their knowledgeable personnel and strong inventory profile. Today, as for the duration of the partnership and, I am sure, for the future, it’s rewarding and enjoyable to work with such a committed and experienced team.”

Added Avnet CEO Bill Amelio: “Throughout the years, the Nexperia product range of discretes, logic and MOSFET devices has led the way with their performance, size and quality innovations. Avnet is delighted to be able to offer Nexperia’s full product portfolio to our broad customer base, and we look forward to the next half century of serving the industry together.”
