Piergiacomi have launched a new depaneling system designed for accurately and efficiently removing printed circuit boards from routed mother panels in FR4, CEM and Aluminium substrate materials. The DPF200 removes routed PCBs with the same quality as an automatic system but at a much lower cost.

Manufactured in high quality materials the DPF200 is a workbench style construction with an ESD laminated table top on a steel frame with steel front feet and rear turning wheels with brake. The table top size is 60 x 60 cms and the total height of the DPF200 is 115 cms.

The machine head of the DPF200 is comprised of an anodised aluminium head incorporating a steel guide ‘track’ (patent pending) and a hard metal milling cutter which is driven by a pneumatic micro spindle to a maximum 60000 rpm. The guide track head allows the operator to move quickly and accurately so removing the isthmus (tab) without the cutter wandering and eliminating any possible board edge damage. Depending on the router width that has been used on the PCBs, the desired track and milling cutter size are selected from a range from 1.5mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm, 2.3mm, 2.4mm and 2.5mm. Both the track and milling cutter are quickly interchangeable.

Attached to the interchangeable track head is an integrated vacuum system with a 3 litre capacity tank fitted with a polyester bag L class filter. The micro spindle cutter is operated via a pneumatic foot pedal with safety protection.
