Microchip’s MPLAB Harmony fully integrated firmware development platform introduces a Configurator for faster driver and middleware settings as well as enhanced driver libraries to further simplify code development across all 32-bit PIC microcontrollers (MCUs).

The introduction of the MPLAB Harmony Configurator enables faster and easier management of driver and middleware settings enabling peripherals to be

re-configured at any time during the development process. This not only reduces design time to shorten time to market, it also virtually eliminates the risk of bugs in the configuration of peripheral and middleware.

MPLAB Harmony also integrates a fully compatible and professional graphics library in addition to significant functional and performance improvements across many of the Harmony driver libraries. These enhancements include IPv6 certification of the Microchip TCP/IP stack.

The addition of these new features further enhances the speed and simplicity of the MPLAB Harmony Firmware Development Framework as an RTOS-independent platform providing configurable, production-ready software modules and proven code interoperability. Harmony also enables seamless integration of third-party software, middleware, drivers and RTOS.
