Global Internet of Things solutions providers Eseye have announced the opening of a new datacentre hosted at Atlantic Metro Communications in New York, an Internet Infrastructure Service Provider.

Adding to the three existing datacentres in the UK, Isle of Man and Kenya, the New York Datacentre is Eseye’s fourth. It is built to an N+1 standard excluding single points of failure which removes potential impact on the main infrastructure or its failover providing the highest level of reliability for Eseye’s customers, business and mission critical systems.

The datacentre improves the AnyNet service offering to American customers by providing in country data routing, American IP address options as well as applications that require a US-based source for connectivity.

“Opening of new datacentres form part of Eseye’s key strategic initiatives to continue to enable best-in-class cellular network agnostic services for our customers. With customers in 96 countries already, this New York datacentre has been put in place to continue the scaling of our infrastructure to support the phenomenal growth we have seen over the last few years. It is clear that the continued investment in our infrastructure globally is essential to meeting the requirements of our growing connection base of M2M devices” said Ian Marsden, CTO Eseye.

Eseye has seen a vast activity increase in markets such as Retail in both EMEA and American geographies. A significant number of Retail applications include automated payments where constant, secure and reliable 2G or 3G connectivity is business critical and where no connectivity means there is no facility to process payments ultimately affecting revenue. Eseye’s ability to ensure the highest network uptime as well as support customers 24/7 means the company is delivering excellent services to customers with business critical connectivity such as seen in Retail.

With Eseye’s recent announcement of ISO27001 certification the opening of this highly secure datacentre the company takes another step towards completing the offer of truly secure global data management for Internet of Things and M2M customers.
