Intelliconnect (Europe) the UK based specialist manufacturer of RF and waterproof connectors has agreed a contract with Colchester based Rapid Electronics appointing the company as its first Stockholding Distributor.

The initial products to be made available to customers will be a selection of Intelliconnect’s waterproof range and triaxial interconnects. Both product types are commonly used on a wide variety of applications in many different markets.

Rapid Electronics are a long-established distributor of electronic components, cables and connectors, electrical products, tools and educational resources.

“While we have always manufactured a wide range of standard connectors Intelliconnect are perhaps better known for our fast turnaround custom connectors,” commented Gavin Mintern, sales director at Intelliconnect. “Rapid are the perfect partner for us to make our standard connectors more widely and conveniently available. Like Intelliconnect, Rapid are very customer focused and can provide finished product from stock for next day delivery and also offer credit card payment facilities. The Intelliconnect cable assembly facility, now located in Corby, produces affordable, high quality high frequency microwave cables, high specification triaxial assemblies and semi-rigids as well as the standard RG/LMR type products. Cable assemblies may be waterproofed to IP68 and special features including phase matching, high frequency operation and ruggedised assemblies for use in harsh environments are on offer.
