Powersolve’s new GFR1K5 series power supplies are 1U high, AC-DC single output units designed to provide up to 1500W. Operating from a wide 85 to 264VAC input voltage, there are four models in the series providing outputs of 12, 24, 48 or 56VDC, the latter being suitable for PoE applications.

Featuring an impressive power density of 18W/in³ and a typical efficiency figure of 90%, the GFR1K5 series will appeal to designers looking for a high performance power supply with many features designed to satisfy a wide variety of applications.

All models share the same compact format and feature a hot swappable “Blind-Mate” capability for ease of installation and replacement. Powersolve can also supply a 1U rack capable holding up to four units for a total power output as high as 6kW.

The units are protected against overvoltage, overtemperature, overcurrent and short circuit while an I²C PMBus compatible interface is used for monitoring conditions like the output voltage, current, internal temperature and run time. It can also be used to turn the unit on and off and detect faults.

Operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C with cooling by an internal, load dependent variable speed fans. GFR1K5 units meet all relevant EMC and Safety approvals.
