A newly introduced relay capable of reliably switching high load currents found in many Power Generation Systems has been released by Panasonic.

The device has a range of high caliber technical specification allowing designer to meet circuit requirements and to ensure compliance with IEC62109 and VDE0126 requirements:

32A / 250VAC switching capability

1.8mm contact gaps

2.5kV surge voltage isolation between open  contacts

6kV surge breakdown across coil / contact

9.5mmm creepage distance

6.5mm  clearance distance

The coil holding voltage can be reduced to as low as 35 percent of the nominal coil voltage. This offers an incredible opportunity to the circuit designer to reduce the operating power after the initial switching cycle.

This specification makes the relay almost irreplaceable in the majority of new, cutting edge, power generation control circuits where the ultra small package size allows consideration of use in the minimum of space.

The insulation class F coil ( 155 deg C ) along with a 120 percent maximum allowable coil voltage limit really pushes the design in order to offer the design engineer the maximum assurance in reliability and power use economy.
