A new cabinet has been developed by Schroff that provides a robust enclosure for 19in rack-mount equipment, coupled with a design that fits most working environments. The cabinet is built around a strong, lightweight die-cast aluminium frame and is available in standard and heavy-duty versions offering static load-carrying capacities of 200kg and 400kg respectively.
It can be used either without a door – to allow unhindered access to the front of the mounted 19in. equipment – or with a steel or fully glazed door, both of which feature an opening angle of 1800. Accessibility is enhanced by the quick-release side panels, which are recessed flush with the front and rear uprights to keep the overall cabinet width down to a space-saving 553mm. The Novastar cabinet offers a versatile solution for a wide variety of applications and can be specified in over 20 different colours.
