The introduction of axial screw termination technology for connecting fine stranded wires has been announced by Harting for use with its screw-termination technology. Assembly is simplified as it only requires the appropriately stripped stranded wires as well as a hexagonal wrench, preferably with adjustable torque moment.

Use of the tools is made easy via the company’s axial screw termination or screw-termination product during assembly as users can now simply employ a tool from the new Han Series of torque tool sets. Installation just involves adjusting and applying the tightening torque appropriate for the wire gauge. As a result, products can be easily and securely installed.

There are three new torque tool sets and a new screwdriver set include all the tools necessary for the product range. The sets for high-current axial contacts and power contacts feature variably adjustable torque screwdrivers covering the torque ranges of 5-14 Nm and 1-5 Nm.

In addition to the variable screwdrivers, a further set offers two pre-set tightening torque screwdrivers with fixed torque values of 0.5 Nm and 1.2 Nm, which are suitable for screw contacts and fixing screws. The portfolio is completed by a screwdriver set which is optimally designed for use with Han(R) connectors.
