Farnell has added Rohde & Schwarz’s NGP800 Series of power supplies to its portfolio. The new generation NGP800 Series is made up of five 2- and 4-channel models, operating at either 400W or 800W, suited for both bench-top and automated test systems. Its five inch, high-resolution touch display helps ease its use for engineers when synchronising outputs, performing waveform tests and logging data for in-depth analysis. All models come with a 3-year warranty as standard. Although the device has necessary safety features: overcorrect protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVC) and overpower protection (OPP) protect the power, while thermal overload is covered by shutdown functions.

It’s a functional device: with output ramp function (EasyRamp), output delay and Arbitrary functions (QuickArb), the NGP800 can emulate a variety of power supplies. It can also keep an eye on voltage and current on all outputs with simultaneous logging – this is all available as a .CSV file for reporting and documenting the relevant findings. Finally, the USB and Lan interfaces enable remote connectivity in ATE systems or production lines.
