EBV Europe, a specialist in European semiconductor distribution, has selected Icoteq to supply its ICO-TTJ-500 hardware development platform to their sales offices across Europe.

The ICO-TTJ-500 is a fully featured development board centred on a powerful Freescale i.MX6 Quad Core processor, and includes Toshiba’s TJM35420XLQ TransferJet IC, a new close proximity wireless technology capable of transferring data at 375Mbps.

The board is aimed at engineers wanting to develop software and systems based around the i.MX6, and it includes a number of specialist data interfaces such as MIPI, MediaLB and CAN giving additional capability for those working in the industrial and automotive sectors. Standard interfaces such as SATA, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, CSI, WiFi and Bluetooth add to the offering along with LVDS and LCD display capability.

Icoteq provide a wealth of software support for this platform including a TransferJet ‘speed test’ demonstration which can be used as a starting point for customer software applications using this technology.

On receiving delivery of the boards EBV’s Karim Khebere, VP technical development said, “I think these boards are great! By supplying them to our sales offices across Europe, we believe they will help our field specialists promote many of the key components on our linecard, such as Freescale, Toshiba, and Texas Instruments. Being able to run high performance demonstrations is a great way to engage with customers and show the capability this board offers for carrying out new developments very quickly.”
