Work is underway on a new Accredited Test Facility for Shropshire and the surrounding counties of Wales (Powys and Clywd), Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire.
Situated equidistant from Manchester and Birmingham, the Cranage laboratory is conveniently located close to the M54 and M6, on the Tern Valley Business Park in Market Drayton, just a short distance away from the spiritual home of Gingerbread which is locally produced to a secret recipe dating back hundreds of years.
The new Market Drayton laboratory will offer a CB testing and certification service for electrical safety which will make it easier for customers to export their products anywhere in the world. It also features several test-specific facilities for EMC including a 3m ETS Lindgren semi-anechoic chamber for fully compliant emissions and immunity testing up to 18GHz, and a large Ray Proof test area for evaluating electronic immunity to electrostatic discharges.
This new home will expand the product approval service for North America and Canada and enable us to include shipment inspections and certificates of conformity for equipment exported to Kuwait and the Middle East.
The safety testing laboratory is expected to be completed in March 2015 and we look forward to welcoming our first customers to the new Market Drayton laboratory in April 2015.
