Astute Electronics, franchised global distributor and procurement specialist, has signed a channel partner agreement with SynQor, Inc. The deal brings SynQor®, and its stable of military-grade power supply and conversion solutions, into Astute’s portfolio of elite franchised manufacturers.

“We are excited to represent SynQor throughout the UK and offer a first point of contact for technical advice, design-in expertise and product development,” announced Richard Ford, Power Products Divisional Manager for Astute. “SynQor’s name is synonymous with the most advanced power supply and conversion solutions for the military/defence sectors as well as transportation and medical markets.”

The agreement establishes Astute as an authorised technical and sales partner for SynQor’s Mil-COTS ‘Off the shelf’ DC-DC converters, EMI filters, power factor correction modules as well as their UPS (uninterruptible power supplies) and inverters. Astute will also provide bespoke solutions based on SynQor’s standard form factor bricks which can be custom-designed for efficiency, performance and power-to-size ratio.

“Partnering with Astute was a natural next step,” commented Michael Grahame-Dunn, SynQor Head of Sales Europe & ANZ. “The agreement with Astute extends our reach and provides more field-based support, while we continue to develop and improve our world-renowned power supply and conversion solutions.”

Both Astute and SynQor will participate in the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI), Excel Centre, London, September 12-15, 2017 (visit Astute at N3-410, SynQor at S9-200).

Astute to deliver seminar at DSEI – 2.30PM, 13 September, Global Theatre

Astute Electronics are delivering a seminar at this year’s DSEI on an important subject: counterfeit electronics detection and risk mitigation. Astute has recently played a leading role in defining and updating the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Standard 05-135, accompanied by the Counterfeit Avoidance Maturity Model, that defines how a supplier is managing the risk of counterfeit components entering the MoD’s supply chain. Astute is uniquely placed to share their valuable experiences in the context of heightened electronics supply-chain pressure, and they invite you to attend an expert seminar at 2.30PM, 13 September, Global Theatre.
