Targeting the power, signals and EMC markets, Weidmüller will be displaying, triple functionality with its Omnimate Power SV/BV 7.62HP Hybrid at Southern.
This device is a feed-through connector and is fully lockable so it is not dependent on the pole count of the connector. As a result it can be quickly installed without the need for any tools.
From the company’s same device range, the Signal – 3.81 is a device that offers plug-in interconnection for pitch 3.81mm.
These connectors offer 17.5A instead of 8A, as a result they are said to feature more than twice the current-carrying capacity possible than with previous standards; which is described as enabling some 100 percent more energy without de-rating, at ambient temperatures up to 65°C.
The third device in the series is the company’s Omnimate Signal – LSF-SMD 3.5/180.
This PCB terminal LSF-SMD is aimed at fully automatic PCB assembly applications.
It is also now said to be possible for applications on glass, ceramic and aluminium compound based PCBs to utilise Push In connection technology. This is partly due to the 3.5mm pitch and the wire outlet direction of 180° which allows a high packing density with a maximum wire cross section of 1.5 mm2.
